Really enjoyed the time. The pace allowed for exploration & practice of the teaching without feeling rushed. Feedback from both the instructor and other students around me helped me to see other possibilities.

ARTISTS
Tricia Rae
Tricia's medium of choice is watercolor. There is just something about the movement and dynamics that watercolor can offer. Her inspiration comes from birds and nature, and perhaps a more unusual inspiration is the trio's ability to make stained glass glow with light. Tricia's background is in graphic design, where she worked as a graphic designer for a local newspaper for 8 years. As a graphic designer, she likes to incorporate common design elements and colors into her watercolors.

I?d like to fly fish some. This was my first attempt at painting trout. The rocks in the background were the hardest part to paint. As an afterthought, I kind of ran over the painting with a light wash of brown to give it the feel of being underwater.

After thirty plus years in Corporate America and then pursuing a very successful Business Adventure of my own ... I semi-retired and became accustomed to a agenda that no longer required an alarm clock. My new bird feeder became my alarm unknowingly, shortly after I purchased it. I would draw in my younger years to fill the after school hours of watching my little brother while my my mom worked. Nothing of great interest ... usually just comic pictures from comic books I purchased with my mea

Daniel Pinckney Jacobs 1860-1932 was my 2nd Great Grandfather. This painting came from a photo taken Circa 1920's in either Pireway, NC or DeLand Fla. The family is unsure of where the bridge is because he and his wife lived with Florida family for a bit before he died. I love this painting because it brings to life an era of our history that tells the story of the farmer's past time, fishing. Daniel Pinckney Jacobs and his wife Sarah Benton Jacobs raised ten children.
